“My photographs reduce the built environment to its individual functioning visual elements in order to reveal the confluences of the systems that dictate human spaces. Design and decay often produce the same effects, and incidental actions can take on the appearance of an aesthetic. To me this speaks to the complex and recursive nature of things on all scales. I’ve been chasing these ideas around the country since 2009.”
